Punjab Health and Emergency Services Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique announced the launch of a Motorway Ambulance Service across the province. This service will cover all motorways and nearby areas, including 76 interchanges and 1,588 kilometres of roads.
During a visit to a motorway interchange, Rafique highlighted the importance of this service in ensuring quick medical help, especially for highway accidents. He praised Chief Minister Punjab’s efforts to bring this welfare initiative to life.
The minister previously explained that the service would provide fast medical aid for critical cases on motorways. Rescue teams are currently being trained to handle these emergencies effectively.
Provincial Minister for Primary & Secondary Healthcare, Khawaja Imran Nazir, also shared that District Headquarters (DHQ) hospitals have been informed about the air ambulance and motorway emergency services.
He added, “Our focus is providing medicines and doctors to remote hospitals. We aim to offer top-quality medical care to our people.”
