Iranian Hackers Claim Access to Israeli Officials’ Phones

An Iranian hacker group, Hanzala, claims to have accessed the personal phones of former Israeli officials, including ex-Defense Minister Benny Gantz and retired IDF Lt. Col. Adi Sabag.

According to a report by Daily Ausaf on Tuesday, the hackers say they released sensitive videos and images, including footage of Sabag dancing at a social event and Gantz allegedly having an affair with a secretary connected to Prime Minister Netanyahu. The group also claims to have leaked sensitive information about Netanyahu during this affair. Israeli authorities have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the leaked materials. This cyber-attack reflects rising tensions between Iran and Israel in the digital world.

    Escalating Iran-Israel Cyber Conflict

This attack highlights the growing cyber and military tensions between Iran and Israel. Both countries have engaged in cyber warfare and direct attacks in recent years. Israel has conducted airstrikes on Iranian targets in Syria, aiming to limit Iran’s influence near its borders. In response, Iran has reportedly stepped up cyberattacks on Israeli infrastructure, government networks, and financial systems.

The hacking incident shows how the Iran-Israel conflict is shifting from military confrontations to sophisticated cyber operations. Both sides are using digital means to expose vulnerabilities and shape public opinion. This marks another chapter in the ongoing rivalry, adding a new layer of tension to their long-standing conflict both online and on the ground.
