In the javelin throw event, Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem secured a gold medal, marking Pakistan’s first Olympic gold in 40 years.

According to Forbes, the gold medal awarded at the 2024 Olympics weighs 529 grams. However, it comprises 95.4% (505 grams) silver, 18 grams of iron and only 6 grams of actual gold.
Forbes also notes that, based on the market prices of gold, silver, and iron as of July 24th. The total value of the gold medals at the Paris Olympics is approximately $950.
This means that the gold value in Arshad Nadeem’s medal is around PKR 260,000 in Pakistani currency.
