MDCAT Postponed in Islamabad Due to PTI Protest

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Islamabad has been postponed due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned protest in the federal capital on November 24.

Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZAMBU) has announced that the test will now take place on December 8 (Sunday), according to sources.

Initially, SZAMBU scheduled the re-conduct of the admission test for November 24 after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) directed the university to retake tests in Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The IHC issued the order after rejecting the September 22 tests, citing irregularities and complaints that some questions were outside the syllabus. The court instructed SZAMBU to conduct the tests within a month.
