Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah announced that the provincial government will soon provide citizens with 100 free units of Electricity. This initiative is part of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) election manifesto, which aims to offer 300 free units of Electricity.
The plan will start with 100 free units, gradually increasing to 200 and eventually 300 units. Minister Shah recognized that citizens are struggling with high electricity bills and assured that Sindh is making significant progress towards this goal.
The Sindh government has also introduced two solarization programs, aiming to distribute solar panels to 200,000 households. By August, 50,000 solar panels are expected to be distributed. These solar parks will generate Electricity supplied to the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC).
Minister Shah stressed the importance of speeding up the distribution of solar panels to those in need. With efforts set to begin soon in each division and district.
