ISLAMABAD (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari awarded the Nishan-e-Pakistan to Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday. The honor recognized his support for the Islamic cause and his strong friendship with Pakistan.
The special investiture ceremony took place at Aiwan-e-Sadar, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, service chiefs, diplomats, and senior officials.
During the event, speakers noted that the Malaysian prime minister admires Allama Iqbal’s work, which has been a great inspiration to him.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has long championed humanitarian efforts and Islamic values in his political career. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to promoting social justice and addressing global issues impacting the Islamic world.
Anwar has also advocated for self-determination movements and spoken out against global oppression. He remains dedicated to fighting Islamophobia and building interfaith harmony by promoting mutual understanding between different cultures and religions.
President Zardari also hosted a state dinner to honor the visiting Malaysian prime minister and his delegation.
