Dr. Zakir Naik, the renowned scholar, expressed gratitude to Pakistan for the warm reception during his recent month-long visit. At a press conference in Rawalpindi, he thanked Allah, the Pakistani government, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik for inviting him and ensuring his comfort.
Dr. Naik praised the support from the federal government, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and the provincial governments, especially the Punjab government and Sindh’s Governor. He noted that he was welcomed ten times more warmly than he anticipated.
This marked Dr. Naik’s first official visit to Pakistan since 1991. He shared how touched he was by the love shown by Pakistanis and religious institutions. Highlighting the strong unity he observed, he referenced the Quran’s call to hold tightly to Allah’s rope. His visit was prompted by numerous invitations from universities and institutions, and he appreciated the exceptional security arrangements that made him feel safe throughout his stay.
Dr. Naik concluded with hopes that his visit would strengthen bonds among the Muslim community and encourage the Quran’s teachings, expressing thanks to everyone who made his visit successful and memorable.
