TV anchor Abdullah Hassan died tragically in a car accident on Sunday in Karachi. The accident occurred near Avari Tower on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) South, Syed Asad Raza, Hassan was driving when his vehicle struck a footpath near a traffic signal. Rescue teams rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South, Sajid Sadozai, indicated that speeding likely caused the crash, which resulted in significant damage to the front of the vehicle.
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori expressed profound sadness over Hassan’s death, extending prayers for the deceased and condolences to his family.
This incident follows another fatal accident in July, where a journalist died after a fuel tank detached from a tanker and overturned on the Baloch Colony flyover in Karachi.
