KARACHI (GRY News) – Notable Islamic Scholar, Mufti Taqi Usmani, stated on Saturday that the nation must free itself from the shackles of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Western civilization.
During a ceremony, he highlighted that every Pakistani child is burdened with IMF debt, lamenting that Pakistanis have become ‘slaves’ to the IMF, with no option but to comply with their demands.
Usmani noted that Islamic law cannot be imposed in Pakistan under these circumstances.
Discussing the economy, Usmani urged the nation to stop using imported products and instead focus on increasing exports to revive the economy. He emphasized the need to abandon interest-based financial practices.
“Traders can compel any government to alter its decisions as they are the lifeblood of the country,” he remarked.
“We haven’t expanded railway tracks since partition. We haven’t even built a road to Lake Saiful Malook,” he deplored.
Usmani stressed the importance of national unity, urging all political parties to come together for the sake of Pakistan.
