As ‘Stree 2’, directed by Amar Kaushik, continues to impress at the box office, fans eagerly anticipate its release on Amazon Prime Video. Although initially expected between September 13-14, new updates suggest a potential streaming start date of September 27. However, an official confirmation is still awaited, keeping audiences in suspense.
Released in theatres on August 15, ‘Stree 2’ unfolds in the mysterious town of Chanderi. This sequel introduces a new horror element, Sarkata, a headless menace that kidnaps women and instils fear in the city. The film features the original cast, including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar, under the production of Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande from Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
Remarkably, ‘Stree 2’ has surpassed the Hindi version of ‘Pathaan’ as the second highest-grossing Hindi film in India. Recent earnings brought its total to approximately Rs. 527 crore net. It now trails only behind ‘Jawan’, which remains at the top with Rs. 582.31 crore net.
