Graham “Dingo” Dinkelman, a popular South African YouTuber and conservationist famous for his daring wildlife videos, has died after a venomous snake bite. Known for his fearless encounters with wildlife, Dinkelman passed away following a bite from an Eastern green mamba, which left him in a coma for a month due to anaphylactic shock.
His wife, Kirsty, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, expressing Dinkelman’s deep love for both his family and his work with animals. “Dingo’s greatest joy was having his family work closely with him,” she wrote. Dinkelman leaves behind his wife and three children: Taylor (14), Maddy (12), and Rex (9).
Dinkelman captivated and educated his audience through his YouTube channel, where he often handled snakes, worked with crocodiles, and interacted with the family’s pet giraffe. Recently, he launched a new family-focused series called “The Dinkelmans,” which quickly gained nearly 4,000 subscribers.
With a substantial social media following, Dinkelman was a respected figure in conservation, and he was celebrated for his dedication to reptiles and African wildlife. His death is a major loss for the wildlife community and his fans worldwide.
