Sindh to Launch Bullet Train from Karachi to Sukkur

Sindh’s Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced plans to launch a bullet train service connecting Karachi and Sukkur.

Speaking to the media in Karachi on Monday, he highlighted that the Karachi Circular Railway project remains the provincial government’s top priority.

Sharjeel Memon shared that Sindh has attracted significant foreign investment, with the Chief Minister meeting foreign investors earlier today. He revealed that a $1 billion investment is expected in the medical sector alone.

He also mentioned that the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone would create 50,000 local jobs and attract even more foreign investments. The minister stressed that providing employment to the youth is a priority and assured that foreign investors have regained confidence in Sindh’s leadership.

Memon pointed out that Tharparkar is generating the cheapest electricity in the country through coal, showcasing Sindh’s economic progress.

He urged a foreign company to establish a bus manufacturing plant in Karachi to provide affordable buses and generate job opportunities for locals.

Sharjeel Memon also criticized PTI founder Imran Khan, accusing him of harming Pakistan’s progress. He alleged that Khan followed a foreign agenda and incited civil disobedience, including promoting illegal money transfers like hawala and money laundering. Memon concluded by stating that Khan’s actions hinder the nation’s development.
