Sindh Govt Seals Dr. Arif Alvi’s Karachi Dental Clinic for Rule Violation

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) sealed former president Dr. Arif Alvi’s dental clinic in Karachi’s Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society. The SBCA stated that Dr. Alvi was running a commercial operation in a residential area, which led to the action.

A spokesperson for the SBCA described the closure as a routine measure. According to SBCA sources, an assistant director led a team to the clinic in the evening, halting all activities and sealing the premises. A notice was placed outside, citing rule violations.

Fauzia Siddiqi, a PTI spokesperson for Karachi, called the action part of a political vendetta by the Shehbaz Sharif government and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Sindh. PTI Karachi President Raja Azhar added that public institutions in Sindh acted like the PPP’s political wing, but such actions would not intimidate PTI leaders or workers who remain committed to Imran Khan’s ideology.
