Pakistan’s Shahzaib Rind from Balochistan claimed victory in Singapore’s World Karate Combat Light Heavyweight Championship. He defeated Brazilian opponent Luiz Victor Rocha in the final.
Shahzaib expressed his joy and gratitude on Instagram, writing, “Dream came true, Alhamdulillah.” He added that he is proud to be the first Pakistani to win a world title in martial arts. “History has been made! It has been a long and challenging journey, but we did it,” he said.
In his emotional post, Shahzaib thanked his supporters and expressed deep appreciation for their belief in him throughout his journey. He specifically mentioned his coach, Asim Zaidi, calling him a “brother and mentor” and crediting him for his physical and emotional support.
He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family, particularly his mother, for always praying for him and his brothers, Balach Masud and Basit Rind, who flew to Singapore to support him.
