PESHAWAR: On Thursday, a Saudi Airlines passenger plane caught fire upon landing at Peshawar airport.
Local media reports indicate that a landing gear malfunction caused the fire. All 276 passengers and 21 crew members safely evacuated using inflatable slides.
The flight was en route from Peshawar to Riyadh when it landed and caught fire. Prompt firefighting crews extinguished the flames engulfing the aircraft.

Airport authorities and aviation experts are investigating the exact cause of the fire, which reportedly occurred during the landing.
The incident caused temporary disruptions at Peshawar airport.
