Salim Khan, the father of Bollywood star Salman Khan, faced a scare during his morning walk at the Bandra promenade when an unidentified man and woman approached him. The man reportedly said, “Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi?”
The Bandra Police investigated the incident after receiving reports. They reviewed CCTV footage and found it was a prank rather than a severe threat. The individuals involved had no criminal backgrounds and were questioned by the police.
This incident is particularly concerning, given the recent threats against Salman Khan. In April, two men fired shots outside Salman’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Bandra. This attack was linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is known for targeting high-profile individuals. The police have arrested six people in connection with that shooting.
Due to these threats, Salman Khan has been given Y-plus security by the Mumbai Police, which includes armed escorts. He also continues to rely on his trusted bodyguard, Shera, for personal safety.
Salman Khan had previously given a statement to the Mumbai Crime Branch about the April attack, describing how he was startled by gunshots hitting his balcony. His brother, Arbaaz Khan, is also aware of the ongoing threats from the Bishnoi gang.
