Saim Ayub tops ICC T20I all-rounder rankings

Pakistan’s young star Saim Ayub has become the world’s No.1 T20I all-rounder, overtaking India’s Hardik Pandya, who slipped to second place. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi stayed third with 231 points.

Saim’s rise follows his brilliant Asia Cup 2025 campaign, where the 23-year-old claimed eight wickets in seven matches at an economy rate of 6.40, proving his all-round ability.

Other Pakistani players also made moves. Mohammad Nawaz jumped to 13th among all-rounders, Faheem Ashraf rose to 35th, while Shaheen Afridi climbed 15 places to 56th. However, Shadab Khan, Salman Agha, Abbas Afridi, and Iftikhar Ahmed all slipped down.

In batting rankings, Sahibzada Farhan surged 11 places to 13th after his stellar Asia Cup performances. Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha, and Mohammad Haris also improved, but Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan dropped further due to being out of the T20I setup since 2024.

Shaheen Afridi also impressed in the bowling charts, moving up 12 places to 13th, equalling India’s Axar Patel. Mohammad Nawaz, Saim Ayub, and Faheem Ashraf also gained ground, while Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem, Haris Rauf, and Abbas Afridi lost spots.

India’s Abhishek Sharma remains the No.1 T20I batter, while Varun Chakaravarthy continues to dominate the bowlers’ rankings.
