Pakistan Railways is set to launch a ‘Summer Vacation Special Train’ to help passengers travel between Rawalpindi and Karachi from July 5 to July 30.
Train Schedule
The return train (49-Up) will leave Karachi Cantt on July 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, and 30. Starting at 8:45 pm and reaching Rawalpindi at 10 pm.
Travel Convenience
This initiative aims to offer citizens a comfortable and convenient travel option during the summer vacation period. The train will stop at major stations, including Jhelum, Lalamusa, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Raiwind, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rohri, and Hyderabad.
According to an official from the Ministry of Railways, all preparations for the train launch are complete under the direction of Secretary Railways Syed Mazhar Ali Shah. The special train (50-Dn) will start from Rawalpindi on July 5 and run on July 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, & 29. It will depart at 12:30 pm and arrive at Karachi Cantt at 2:15 pm the next day.
Train Features
The Summer Vacation Special Train will include:
- Two AC standard coaches.
- Two AC business coaches.
- Five economy class coaches.
- One brake van.
- One power plant.
Additionally, six economy class coaches will be added from Lahore to accommodate more passengers.
