PTI’s Imran Khan Calls for Final Protest on November 24

Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, has issued a “final call” for a protest in Islamabad on November 24. He condemned what he referred to as a “stolen mandate,” “unjust arrests” of supporters, and the recent passing of the 26th constitutional amendment bill.

Since his arrest in August 2023, Imran’s party has been holding protests nationwide, calling for his release and opposing alleged election rigging in the upcoming February 2024 elections.

Following the events of May 9, 2023, PTI leaders have faced multiple arrests for organizing protests. Just a day ago, several top PTI leaders were detained near Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail for violating Section 144, though they were released shortly after a warning.

Last month, authorities arrested PTI leaders and activists in Punjab during protests. In September, PTI’s top leadership and 11 MNAs were also detained temporarily. Recently, Imran’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, were arrested along with other party workers during a protest in Islamabad but later released on bail.

After a meeting with Imran in Adiala Jail on Wednesday, Aleema Khan confirmed that this final protest call is for everyone, including PTI ticket holders, parliament members, party workers, and supporters.
