Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced its protest at D-Chowk on October 4, with leaders in Peshawar determined to advance despite any challenges.
This decision was made during a meeting of the PTI parliamentary party in Peshawar, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. He admitted mistakes in their last protest, which ended early due to issues like lack of protection against tear gas.
This time, Gandapur promised the protest would be better planned, with trained workers and necessary equipment leading the way. He said they would use machinery to clear roadblocks and ensure a smooth path to D-Chowk, adding that the protest could last several days.
The meeting concluded with plans for convoys to leave Peshawar at 11 a.m. and Swabi in the afternoon, with Gandapur again leading the KP delegation.
