Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf PTI has renewed its commitment to resign from the assemblies and denied its ability to withdraw regardless of what the Speaker said recently. The chairman of PTI, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, declared that lawmakers are acting under the instructions of Imran Khan as the party continues its protest policy.
Junaid Akbar and Sheikh Waqas Akram are among the at least 18 members who have resigned standing committee as a planned political action. Party leaders claim that this action is required to emphasize the stance of PTI regarding governance and parliamentary checks and balances.
The analysts have argued that the number of resignations in the committees would destabilize the legislative services as well as the parliamentary committees, further contributing to the political pressure. PTI continues with its hardline position, stating that it will fight with or without Parliament.
