On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a criminal complaint in Islamabad’s District and Sessions Court, accusing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and others of involvement in the violence during recent protests in Islamabad.
According to Pakistan Observer, the complaint was submitted by Sardar Latif Khan Khosa through Barrister Gohar. PTI is pursuing legal action against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and senior police officials, including the Inspector General, SSP, and DIG.
The complaint details 38 injured PTI workers and 139 missing workers. PTI has urged the court to accept the complaint, summon the prime minister and other respondents, and take strict legal action.
Two federal ministers and two provincial assembly members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were listed as witnesses. PTI has also requested the court to issue non-bailable arrest warrants against the respondents and impose penalties as per the law.
