ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with Federal Cabinet members and Parliamentarians. Offered the funeral prayer in absentia for Ismail Haniyeh. The Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas, who was martyred in Tehran.
The government decided to hold the funeral prayer nationwide and observe a day of mourning on Friday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and leaders from the ruling coalition and opposition parties joined the funeral prayer.
They prayed for the martyr’s rank to be elevated in paradise, for peace in Palestine. And the betterment of the Muslim world.
