PM Modi’s Plane Use Pakistani Airspace Again Without Permission

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane reportedly crossed Pakistani airspace again on his way back from the United States, as revealed on Wednesday.

This incident has sparked renewed discussions about the strained relationship between the two countries, especially since Modi had previously avoided Pakistani airspace as a symbolic move.

Sources from Dialogue Pakistan state that Modi’s aircraft entered Pakistan’s airspace over Chitral at 5:45 PM, stayed for 46 minutes and exited near Lahore at 6:30 PM. The transit occurred on September 24 as Modi returned to India after attending the Quad Leaders Summit and the UN Future Summit in the US.

Interestingly, on August 24, Modi’s plane also used Pakistani airspace when returning from Poland. In both cases, Indian authorities did not request permission to use Pakistan’s airspace.

This has raised concerns, given the already tense relations between India and Pakistan.
