Petrol Price Likely to Increase By Over Rs7 from July 16

Pakistanis are preparing for another financial hit as petrol and diesel prices are set to rise for the second half of July.

Local media reports suggest that petrol and diesel prices will likely increase from July 16.

The petrol per liter is expected to increase by about Rs7.68, while diesel may see a rise of Rs3.72 per liter. These new prices will likely remain for the next two weeks.

If this change happens, petrol costs Rs273.29 per liter, and diesel costs Rs281.17 per liter.

Two weeks ago, the Pakistani government raised the price of petrol by Rs7.45 per liter, setting it at Rs265.61 per liter.

Pakistan recently increased the levy on petroleum products by Rs20 to meet IMF demands for a new bailout package, which could be worth $7 billion.
