The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suggested holding Pakistan-India matches at neutral venues for tournaments hosted by the BCCI.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has extended his stay in Dubai to address this issue. He aims to ensure that matches, including the Champions Trophy, are played smoothly between the two rivals.
According to national media reports, Pakistan has proposed that Champions Trophy matches between the two teams could take place in Dubai.
The proposal also includes hosting all future Pakistan-India matches at neutral venues for the next three years. This arrangement is designed to avoid political challenges linked to travel between the two countries.
Reports indicate that this formula, though unofficially referred to as a hybrid model, will need approval from both nations and the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Meanwhile, the ICC recently appointed Jay Shah as its new Chairman. Shah was elected unopposed in August after Greg Barclay’s term ended. Despite the ongoing discussions, PCB Chairman Naqvi remains focused on securing favorable outcomes for Pakistan cricket.
