ISLAMABAD, July 15, 2025 — The Ministry of Finance has approved a fuel price increase during the bi‑weekly review effective July 16, adding Rs 6.60 per litre to petrol and Rs 5.27 per litre to high-speed diesel, according to ARY News. The adjustment reflects global oil market fluctuations. ([turn0search16])
Prices for kerosene and LDO, however, are being lowered by Rs 3.74 and Rs 2.23 per litre respectively, after reassessments by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. The revised pricing will remain in effect for 15 days pending the Prime Minister’s formal approval. ([turn0search16])
Consumers are advised to expect a rise in transportation and commodity costs, which may impact inflation. Economic analysts warn of further increases unless international oil prices stabilize.
