Pakistan begins data collection for nurses seeking US jobs

The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), part of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), has begun gathering data on Pakistani nurses seeking job opportunities in the USA.

An official source shared on Wednesday that this initiative aims to find qualified nurses who meet the requirements for U.S. healthcare jobs.

To qualify, candidates must have a Generic BSN or Post R.N. (16 years of education) and pass an English proficiency test such as IELTS (Overall Band Score: 6.5, Speaking Section: 7.0) or TOEFL (Total Score: 83). Additionally, nurses must pass the NCLEX-RN exam and have their credentials evaluated by CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools). Both male and female applicants are eligible but must be under 45.
