    Pakistan Beats China, Qualifies for Semi-Finals in Asian Hockey Trophy

    Pakistan defeated China on Thursday to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2024.

    Nadeem Ahmed, Hannan Shahid, and Abdul Tehman each scored a goal, leading the Green Shirts to victory in this crucial match. Pakistan will now face arch-rivals India in the semi-final this weekend.

    Pakistan earned their first win by beating Japan 2-1 on Wednesday. Ahmad Nadeem and Sufyan Khan each scored a goal for Pakistan, while Raiki Fujishima netted one for Japan.

    Pakistan’s previous matches against South Korea and Malaysia ended in draws.

    India, the defending champion, won the 2023 final by defeating Malaysia 4-3 to claim their fourth title, while Japan took bronze by beating South Korea 5-3.

    The tournament, featuring teams from Pakistan, India, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, and China, will run from September 8 to September 17 in Holy Nabibor, China.
