In a boost for Pakistan, fast bowler Naseem Shah has recovered from his recent injury and is set to rejoin the squad for the second ODI against Australia in Adelaide on November 8.
Sources report that Naseem fully participated in the team’s latest practice session, making him available for selection. His return is a relief for Pakistan after he left the field due to cramps in the first ODI, sparking concerns about his fitness for the upcoming match.
With Naseem back, Pakistan is likely to stick with the same lineup from the first game. The selection committee, led by Asad Shafiq and including Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Aleem Dar, and Hassan Cheema, will assess the pitch conditions in Adelaide before confirming the final XI after tomorrow’s practice.
Pakistan has struggled in Adelaide, winning only one out of eight ODIs at the venue, with their last victory there in 1996. Australia, on the other hand, has a strong record at the ground, winning their last ODI there against Pakistan in 2017.
