KARACHI: Renowned actor Nabeel Zafar has taken a humorous dig at the Sindh government’s newly introduced e-challan system, sparking laughter and debate among social media users.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, the Bulbulay star quipped, “Driving on Karachi’s roads should earn a reward, not a fine — a public demand!” His witty remark quickly went viral, with fans agreeing that navigating the city’s chaotic traffic often feels like an achievement.
The e-challan system, officially launched on October 27, aims to enforce traffic laws through a faceless ticketing mechanism. Under the scheme, violators are identified via surveillance cameras, and digital challans are sent directly to vehicle owners.
According to media reports, over 12,000 e-challans have already been issued in just the first three days of implementation — highlighting the city’s ongoing traffic challenges.
Social media users flooded Nabeel’s post with reactions, praising his humor while also expressing frustration over poor road conditions, signaling that his statement struck a relatable chord among Karachiites.
