Former Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has announced his retirement from cricket, following Imad Wasim. The news was reported by national media on Saturday.

According to ARY News, Amir revealed he is retiring from all three formats of cricket—Test, One Day, and T20. He expressed his gratitude for representing Pakistan, calling it a glorious journey.

“It has been an incredible honor to play for Pakistan in all formats,” Amir stated. “This is a tough decision, but I believe it’s the right time for the younger generation to take charge and elevate Pakistan cricket to new heights.

“I am thankful to the PCB for their support throughout my career and to the fans who stood by me. I look forward to watching the team excel,” he added.

Reacting to the retirements of Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmad Syed said, “On behalf of the PCB, I sincerely thank Amir and Imad for their contributions to Pakistan cricket. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.”
