LHC orders police to recover ‘missing’ YouTuber Aun Ali

The Lahore High Court has ordered provincial police to recover YouTuber and comedian Aun Ali Khosa, who masked men reportedly abducted. The court has set a deadline of August 20 for his recovery.

This urgent order came after Aun’s wife, Binish Iqbal, filed a petition claiming that the government was illegally detaining her husband. Binish expressed deep concern for Aun’s safety, fearing he might become a victim of enforced disappearance.

Justice Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, who presided over the case, instructed the Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to ensure Aun’s appearance in court by the specified date.

The Lahore Police have registered a case regarding Aun’s alleged abduction, filed at Achhra Police Station by Binish Iqbal. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the incident occurred around 2 AM when unidentified men broke into their home. They abducted Aun Ali Khosa and seized valuable electronics, including a laptop, computer, and camera. The identities and motives of the abductors remain unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

Aun Ali Khosa gained significant attention on social media for his satirical song “Bill Bill Pakistan,” which critiqued high electricity bills during Independence Day.
