LAHORE: In a significant development, Lahore police arrested the son of PTI leader Shahid Siddique on Monday, charging him with his father’s murder, sources said.
The Organized Crime Unit (OCU) apprehended Qayyum Shahid after gathering solid evidence through a detailed investigation into the killing of his father. Who also owned Iqra Hospital.
According to police sources, Qayyum allegedly arranged for his father to be killed by hiring an assassin.
The sources reported that the shooter targeted Dr. Shahid Siddique. As he was about to enter his car outside a mosque in Valencia Town last Friday.
Qayyum was standing near his car, close to the crime scene. Dr. Shahid’s other son, Taimur Shahid, filed the murder case.
