The Kremlin on July 9, 2025 said it could neither confirm nor deny a CNN report suggesting that former U.S. President Donald Trump once threatened to “bomb the st out of Moscow**” if Russia attacked Ukraine, citing the possibility of disinformation.
The report, published earlier this week, attributes the statement to an unnamed group of Trump aides during a private donor event amid his 2024 campaign. It also claims Trump made similar threats about bombing Beijing if China moved against Taiwan.

The Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Moscow has no verification of the audio cited by CNN, calling the claim “fake news” and stressing that there is “a lot of fake news these days.” He added that Moscow considers the story unfounded until solid proof is presented.
