The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Cabinet has decided to file an FIR against the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad and 600 police officers over the vandalism incident at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.
Geo News, citing sources, reported that the FIR will include charges such as vandalism, theft, terrorism, and other offenses. The decision followed a report presented to the provincial cabinet, which highlighted details of the vandalism.
The report stated that the raid and subsequent violence at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House caused over 10 million rupees in damages. Those impacted were KPK Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and other parliament members, who reportedly lost valuable items during the incident.
Barrister Saif, an advisor to the Chief Minister, assured the media that the KPK Cabinet would take action and would not remain silent. An FIR will be filed against IG Islamabad and all involved policemen, and those responsible will face legal consequences.
Provincial Minister Pakhtun Yar also confirmed that the vandalism led to significant losses. The FIR will name the IG of Islamabad and 600 policemen as alleged offenders.
