Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was stopped from meeting former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Monday.
Gandapur, accompanied by his protocol staff, arrived at the jail to meet the PTI founder but was denied entry at the main gate. Jail authorities informed him that no meeting had been scheduled.
Left waiting outside Gate Number 5, Gandapur eventually departed with his staff and headed towards Gorakhpur.
Earlier, Gandapur had pledged to honor the sacrifices of PTI workers who lost their lives during the November 26 protests at D-Chowk. Speaking at the Havelian Water Supply Scheme’s foundation-laying ceremony, he emphasized seeking justice for their deaths.
“We will ensure accountability for the blood of our martyrs,” Gandapur said. “I salute those who sacrificed their lives for true democracy.”
He also reaffirmed PTI’s commitment to building a self-reliant and independent nation, vowing to continue the struggle for democracy and justice.
