Karachi Launches New Electric Bus Route EV-4

The Sindh Transport Department has announced a new route for the Electric Bus Service in Karachi. The EV-4 route, spanning 55 kilometers, will connect the Super Highway to Numaish Chowrangi. PPP MPAs Raja Abdul Razzaq and Sajid Jokhio inaugurated the route.

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon stated that the EV-4 route will pass through Dumba Goth, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sohrab Goth, and Al-Asif Square. This new service aims to benefit Ayesha Manzil, Lalukhait, and Teen Hatti residents, boosting local economies, reducing travel costs, and easing traffic congestion.

Memon also mentioned that the government plans to introduce more buses and new routes to offer affordable and modern transportation options. Earlier in July, three new routes for the Peoples Bus Service were announced. Including Hawksbay to Tower, starting on July 22, and an extension of Route 12. The Peoples Bus will also begin service from Qaidabad, Korangi, and Memon Goth to Tower, previously from Khokhrapar, starting July 23.
