Karachi: Gas supply in parts of Karachi will be wholly suspended for 24 hours on Sunday, July 28, due to the installation of a new pipeline.
The company announced that they would hook up a newly laid 24-inch diameter, 31-kilometre-long gas pipeline from MVA Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (ACPL) to the Sales Meter Station (SMS) Surjani.
To complete this task, the gas supply will be suspended from 5:00 am on July 28 to 5:00 am on July 29.

The gas supply will be suspended in the following areas for 24 hours:

- North Karachi (all sectors)
- Manghopir Town
- Qasba Town
- Orangi Town (all sectors)
- North Nazimabad (all blocks)
- FB Area (all blocks)
- Gulberg (all blocks)
- Buffer Zone
- SITE Industrial Area
- Baldia Town
- Ittehad Town
- Mauripur
- Central Region’s Gulshan-e-Maymar
- Ahsanabad
- Janjal Goth
- SITE Super Highway and adjacent areas
New Gas Transmission Pipeline Inauguration
SSGC’s Managing Director, Mr Imran Maniar, inaugurated the new 24-inch diameter, 31-kilometer-long gas pipeline on Thursday.
This pipeline will enhance gas supplies to Karachi’s West Region, addressing low-pressure supply issues for industrial customers in the area. The project costs Rs. 3,859 million and will separate low-pressure domestic and commercial consumers from high-pressure industrial consumers in the SITE and Hub Industrial Areas.
