Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have reportedly signed their divorce papers and are expected to announce it soon.
According to sources close to the couple, a foreign publication reported that Lopez and Affleck’s romance is ending as they have finalized the divorce papers and will file them soon.
“They finalized the divorce papers a month ago but are waiting for the right time to announce them,” an insider said. The source added that Affleck’s recent actions, including missing Lopez’s birthday and second anniversary, deeply hurt her.
“Ben’s decision to move into his own home is the final insult to Lopez,” the insider continued. “J.Lo had hoped for a reconciliation if they spent some time apart, but this feels like a stab in the heart.”
Another insider revealed that Lopez and Affleck are planning their joint statement about the divorce. Which will be released after the papers are filed. “They will say they love each other and tried to make it work but couldn’t. They couldn’t come to a compromise, and they both accepted that what they had before is gone,” the person said.
Lopez and Affleck, who were previously engaged from 2002 to 2004, rekindled their romance in 2021, 20 years after their first meeting. They also announced their engagement in April 2022 and married in July of the same year.
Speculations about their split began earlier this year when Affleck was seen leaving a rental home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Where he had been living separately from Lopez. He moved his belongings out of their mansion while Lopez took a solo vacation in France and Italy.
Despite the rumours, the couple did not address the speculations. Last month, their Beverly Hills mansion was listed for sale.
