Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, led by Engineer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has introduced a free laptop scheme for graduates of its “Bano Qabil” program.
The announcement came during the “Bano Qabil Aptitude Test” event in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal, attended by thousands of students. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stressed the need for a unified education system in Pakistan, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Prominent figures like education expert Dr. Ishrat Hussain, former cricketer Sadiq Mohammad, and actors Behrooz Sabzwari, Ayaz Khan, and Zeba Shahnaz also encouraged students during the event.
Hafiz Naeem highlighted that Pakistan’s youth, which makes up a significant portion of the population, should channel their energy positively. He urged them to acquire new skills instead of seeking opportunities abroad. He emphasized the vast potential in IT exports and called the Bano Qabil program a step towards revolutionizing the industry.
So far, over 48,000 students have graduated from the program, with Jamaat-e-Islami actively supporting them in finding jobs. In the program’s first phase, 10,000 laptops will be awarded to top-performing graduates to enhance their employment prospects globally.
He also urged Karachi’s youth to fight for their rights and work toward an honest leadership. “Pakistan belongs to its youth, not to generals, capitalists, or the elite,” he stated.
Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer, Muneem Zafar, also addressed the gathering. He encouraged the youth to resist propaganda and serve Pakistan, assuring them of the nation’s promising future.
