The maintenance operation began early on October 14 under the supervision of the International Cable Consortium. Following the repairs, PTCL reported that network performance has returned to normal, with improved connectivity and stable internet speeds nationwide.
Earlier, PTCL had informed users about possible slowdowns and partial disruptions during the maintenance work. The company assured customers that it took all necessary measures to minimize service interruptions.
Pakistan has experienced multiple internet disruptions in the past due to submarine cable faults. Officials said that ongoing efforts are underway to strengthen the country’s connectivity infrastructure, with plans to launch 5G services soon in major cities.
