Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh recently shared insights into his spiritual journey and how exploring Islam has profoundly impacted him. In a detailed interview, Singh, known for hits like “Brown Rang” and “Desi Kalakaar,” recounted his early exposure to Islamic teachings in Punjab. He spoke about his interactions with religious scholars and Sufis in Mohali, where he learned about critical Islamic figures, including Prophet Moses and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Singh explained, “When I was in Punjab, I was introduced to Islam, even though I was an atheist at that time. I learned about Prophet Moses and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through some saints.” He described these experiences as transformative, significantly deepening his understanding of faith.
Reflecting on his career, Singh admitted that after his rise to fame around 2011-2012, he deviated from his spiritual path and began engaging with negative influences. “I should have been thankful to the Almighty.
Instead, I started glorifying satanic powers,” he confessed, recognizing the detrimental impact this had on his personal and professional life.
The interview has garnered considerable attention, with many on social media commending Singh for his respectful approach to discussing Islamic teachings. Comments have highlighted his reverential mention of prophets and his respectful dialogue about Islam.
