Hajj 2025: Costs and Quotas for the Holy Pilgrimage

The federal cabinet approved Thursday’s Hajj policy for next year’s pilgrimage. Sources say the official package for Hajj is expected to cost between Rs10,75,000 and Rs11,75,000.

Around 179,000 people from Pakistan will be able to perform Hajj next year. The Hajj Policy 2025 outlines quotas for different sectors: government and private operators will each receive 89,605 pilgrim spots.

About 1,000 spots are reserved for the labor sector and around 300 for low-income workers registered under the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).

Next year’s long Hajj will last 38 to 42 days, while the short Hajj will last 20 to 25 days. Children under 12 years old will not be allowed to travel for the pilgrimage.

The Road to Makkah facility will be available at Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi airports. Women traveling without a mahram can also perform Hajj under the conditions set by the Islamic Ideological Council.
