Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Monday, falling by Rs900 per tola to reach Rs283,400. This drop coincides with a decrease in international gold rates.
The price for 10 grams of gold also decreased, now listed at Rs242,970 after a reduction of Rs771, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Just a few days earlier, gold prices had risen by Rs2,000, closing at Rs284,300.
On the international market, gold was priced at $2,739 per ounce, down by $9 during the day, plus an additional premium of $20.
In recent weeks, gold prices reached record highs due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding the upcoming U.S. elections, which increased demand for safe-haven assets.
