Gandapur Vows to Hold Accountable Those Who Switch Loyalties

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur used threatening language again, asserting that those who change their loyalties will not be spared.

This statement follows the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment the night before. Asad Qaiser, a prominent politician, expressed his concerns on social media. He stated, “The amendment was passed unconstitutionally and in secrecy last night. This unethical amendment will only increase tensions between institutions. Why was there such a rush to pass it?”

Qaiser added that everyone knows how the votes were obtained unconstitutionally. “Those who claimed to respect the vote have disrespected it. Members were bought for money, undermining the dignity of Parliament and violating the sanctity of private spaces.”

He also criticized the amendment’s passage in the Senate, calling it unconstitutional and illegal. Qaiser emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a federation unit, lacked representation during this process.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Gandapur warned those who changed their loyalties would face consequences, stating, “We won’t allow them to get away with this easily.”

In his message, Gandapur also criticized the government, claiming it had a false mandate that attacked the judiciary. He stated, “If they appoint people of their choice to make decisions, institutions will not progress. This unconstitutional move was made in the dead of night solely to benefit the elite.”
