Federal Cabinet to Address Political Unrest After PTI Protest Today

The Federal Cabinet will discuss the ongoing political unrest and other national matters following today’s PTI protest, national media reported on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a Federal Cabinet meeting for Wednesday evening, according to Geo News. This will be the first meeting of ministers after the unrest in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, PTI leaders and supporters claim that over 100 people were killed during last night’s paramilitary crackdown on protesters at D-Chowk, Islamabad.

PTI leader Dr. Shahbaz Gill posted on X, stating that more than 100 workers were “martyred,” with several still missing. He alleged that 33 bodies were sent to one hospital, while 27 were taken to another, accusing the government of hiding the deaths.

Similar claims have circulated on social media, but no independent source or media outlet has confirmed any casualties so far.
