Donald Trump Injured in Assassination Attempt at Pennsylvania Campaign Rally

WASHINGTON: Donald Trump was rushed off stage, bleeding after gunshots erupted during his campaign rally on Saturday in Pennsylvania.

Trump was seen grimacing and holding his right ear, with blood on his cheek and mouth, as shots were fired.

The attacker and one civilian were dead, and two attendees were injured. Investigators said the gunman fired multiple shots from an elevated position outside before Secret Service personnel shot him.

The incident occurred just after Trump took the stage at what was to be his final rally before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Initially filled with enthusiastic supporters, the rally quickly turned chaotic as security personnel moved to secure the area.

Security agents swiftly surrounded Trump, escorting him off the stage. Trump defiantly raised his fist to the crowd before being taken away.
Security personnel remain vigilant after Trump was rushed off stage on July 13, 2024, in Butler, Pennsylvania.

This shocking incident is likely to heighten concerns in a nation already tense due to fears of unrest and political tensions ahead of the November election between Trump and President Joe Biden.
