A famous bakery in Islamabad, Crusteez Donuts, has issued a public apology after a video involving Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa went viral.
On September 25, CJP Isa visited the bakery with his family to buy donuts, but an employee insulted him and recorded the interaction. The video quickly gained attention, accumulating over 700,000 views after being shared by crime reporter Ehtisham Ali Abbasi on X (formerly Twitter).
In response, Crusteez Donuts posted a statement on Instagram apologizing for the incident. The bakery clarified that the employee’s behavior did not reflect the company’s values, and they investigated the situation. They expressed regret for the negative experience.
Following the video’s spread, rumors circulated that the bakery had been sealed and the employee had been fired. However, a fact-check revealed that the shop remains open, and no such actions were taken.
This is not the first time Crusteez Donuts has faced public scrutiny. On September 11, the shop was temporarily sealed for failing to follow dengue prevention SOPs in Islamabad, but it reopened after complying with the regulations. The recent incident has sparked debates online, with many questioning the employee’s actions.
