Court Issues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant for Rana Sanaullah

A court in Gujranwala has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Rana Sanaullah, a close aide of the Prime Minister. The court has ordered his arrest and appearance on December 12.

The case, registered at Gujranwala’s Satellite Town police station, dates back to October 16, 2020, during a Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Gujranwala.

Rana Sanaullah faces charges of removing containers and allegedly running over police officers with a vehicle. The police delayed submitting the case challan, and Rana Sanaullah has not yet responded to this development.

Separately, Rana Sanaullah emphasized the need for political dialogue to resolve issues and bring stability to the country. Speaking to a private news channel, he called on all political parties to unite for political and economic stability.

He criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for avoiding democratic dialogue. Responding to PTI’s conditions for talks, he said no dialogue could succeed under threats, blackmail, or anti-state narratives.

He added, “We have pulled Pakistan out of an economic crisis and achieved stability. Now, we must focus on political stability through sincere dialogue.”
